We are a community college health center that provides on-campus medical and preventive services to students and sometimes faculty and staff. Typically staffed by registered nurses, and occasionally a part-time physician, we provide episodic care, mental health support, vaccinations, reproductive health care, and health promotion events. The aim is to promote overall student wellness, support academic success, and address immediate health concerns in an accessible, often low-cost manner.

Preceptorship hours can be offered Monday-Thursday, 0900-1630.

Congenital heart disease--pediatric and adult-- outpatient clinic setting

My role in the heart center is clinical care specialist and clinical manager. It is a role that supports patient/family education as well as staff education but its main focus is leadership and project management. We are currently involved in developing an Adult Congenital Heart Care program at VCH to help our congenital heart patients transition from pediatric to adult medical care. Additionally, I have direct contact with patients and families when they are referred to me by my physician partners for clinical education and transition-readiness assessment.
